With the racing season in full swing racers with Super Shox have been racking up top finishes this year. Starting with Kevin Swindell's win at the Chili Bowl and continuing on with Micros, Mini Sprints, 305, 360 and 410 Sprint Cars with and without wings. Several drivers have multiple wins already this year with the master himself Sammy Swindell on top with four feature wins after completely decimating the field at Knoxville Saturday night with fast time, a heat race win and a run from the back to first in 12 laps after a spin and flat tire on lap one that put him to the rear.

Jerrod Hull who made the switch to Super Shox has registered three feature wins and three second place finishes after making the switch to Super Shox this year. "The car is so stable and consistent and I can drive it so much harder with these shox" commented Jerrod after his first feature win with Super Shox.

Kurt Davis has made the trip to victory lane twice in MSA competition and has been a threat to win every night right along with TJ Luedke who also has two MSA features to his credit. Al Schlafer is the only other racer to win a MSA feature so far this year making it five Super Shox wins and six for the weather.

Chris Windom has won twice and been racing for the top spot nearly every night out in Jeff Walkers car and it is only a matter of time before this duo begins winning a bunch of races. "We have been good in the slick and on the rough tacky places too these shox are awesome" commented Jeff Walker after another strong run at Kokomo.

Justin Grant has improved his performance by switching to Super Shox and has been running at the front of the pack and looking for his first win on his new Super Shox. "I love these shox they make the car feel so stable and consistent. I have been able to run in the corner and have the confidence that the car will go where I want it too. Since putting these shox on we have not had a ill handling car yet" commented Justin after his 4th race on his Super Shox.

Four Chili Bowl racers with Super Shox finish in the top 15 in Saturdays A-Main. Topping the list is Kevin Swindell with the win and Sammy who finished in third after a thrilling drive from last in 30 laps. Mike Hess who started in 22nd raced his way to 7th by passing high and low and Daniel Adler finished in 15th after starting 21st.

Kevin slid back with a loose race car at the start to 7th but soon made adjustments to his Super Shox and by lap 24 was in the lead and opening up a sizeable advantage as the race track began to get slick. That is about the same time Sammy and Mike Hess started their drive to the front with Sammy leading the way Hess followed close behind as two weaved thru traffic as the laps wound down.

Super Shox has the advantage racers are looking for with standard valved shocks starting at $179.00 to single and double adjustable shocks we have the shocks you need to win races with.

Three of the top 15 on Super Shox at the Wednesday Chili Bowl

Kevin Swindell made his first trip down Chili Bowl lane glory Wednesday night by winning the feature and setting himself up for a good starting spot on Saturday night. As the night went on the track got a little wider and slicker but still had enough of a cushion for Kevin to use. With spot on driving and a good set up he wheeled around the indoor track perfectly for 25 laps to take the win.

Finishing in sixth spot was Daniel Adler from Illinois who patiently worked the bottom of the track to the checkered flag. Adler stayed right on the berm around the corners and was able to get good drive off to stay up front.

Shane Cockrum finished in the fourteenth spot and was turning lap times comparable to the leaders but was caught in Chili Bowl traffic for most of the 25 laps.

All drivers reported that their cars felt great and that they used their adjustable Super Shox to their advantage to dial in their set up to suit the track and their line.

Super Shox give the car a whole different feel by controlling every motion of the car. The car has more stability and grip that give the drivers the feel that they need to race for wins.

November 22nd

Sammy Swindell is always a threat to win at any track in any car at anytime and that is exactly what he has been doing lately with the Tom Rolfe 360 sprint car. With strong runs in every race Sammy has had a little bit of unfortunate luck and not been able to finish but that has changed now and he has knocked off three feature wins in a row. Starting with a win last week at his home track in West Memphis at Riverside Speedway with the USCS he finished second in the first of two twin 25's and won the second one from the last row after the full invert. This week he took the Tom Rolfe car to Tucson to race with the ASCS Lucas Oil Series and made a clean sweep winning his heat and feature on Thursday then capped the weekend off with a win in Saturdays final.

Tim Keading who has been hot in 360 action with two wins at Watsonville California in October and the Trophy Cup at Tulare in the Roth 83 car. This week the team made the trip over to Tucson to collect another feature win in Fridays preliminary race then led opening nine laps of Saturdays race and finished a close second to Sammy after a terrific race long battle that saw the two Super Shox cars distance themselves from the field to fight for the win.

Darren Long has also found victory lane this year at Eldora and Limaland with the NRA 360 series after making the switch to Super Shox. TJ Luedke took top honors this year in 360 racing with the MSA and EWSC with championships in both to go along with his 6 feature wins in Wisconsin.

In 360 racing it is all about car set up and driver which make sense why cars with Super Shox are winning the big 360 races. Super Shox are able to give the driver the confidence he needs to drive thru the heavy rough stuff and the feel to pass in the black. The bottom line is this if you don't have Super Shox you are probably following a car that does so call us now to find out how you can get into the lead with Super Shox.

Sammy Super Shox Them

Sammy Swindell made good use of his Super Shox and came back after a rough qualifying night to win the Friday night A-Main and set a new 20 lap record in the process. Sammy was a man on a mission and when Sammy gets in the zone he is at a level that very few if any can match. After starting 9th he steadily moved his way to the front and took the lead on lap 15 then distanced himself from the field to take the win in the non-stop 20 lapper. Swindell started the week out with a win on Monday at Oskaloosa then had mechanical problems on Wednesday night but came back strong on Friday and promised to run the wheels off it to get into the A-Main on Saturday. With Swindell's two wins and Tim Keading's on Thursday make it three out of four for the week for a car with Super Shox. Sammy and Tim both feel the difference Super Shox make and choose to run Super Shox because of the advantage that the shox give them so call today to get the same advantage these guy's have.

Tim Keading Tops Thurday Night Qualifiers

Congratulations to Tim Keading and Roth Motorsports team on their A-Main victory at Knoxville on Thursday night. Tim started the night qualifying 9th then in the 4th heat he made a nice run from 7th to 3rd to make the transfer into the A-Main. Once the A-Main started Tim was able to stay on the bumper of the leader then on Lap 11 in heavy traffic Tim made it three wide off of turn four and moved by both the leader and a lap car. After that Tim quickly shot around the slick 1/2 mile lapping cars and distancing himself by nearly a half lap on the second place car to take the win on the hard dry surface.

KEVIN SWINDELL CAPTURES AUSTRALIAN SPEEDCAR CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

Making his Australian debut at Murray Bridge Speedway in South Australia, American Kevin Swindell not only captured the Speedcar National Title race, but also did so in convincing fashion.

Driving for Barry and Steven Graham, and sponsored by Richard Petty Driving Experience, Supershox, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, and Valvoline, with Hawk power, Swindell absolutely put on a driving clinic.

With a tough format of four qualifying races to run, Kevin finished an amazing first, second, first, and first, plus won two pole scramble events to earn the front row starting position.  At the drop of the green flag in the Title race, it was all Swindell, leading the entire distance, lapping cars and getting an impressive victory over the top Australian and American drivers.

“We were so excited to have Kevin come to Australia,” said Graham.  “It’s hard to imagine there could be a more perfect two days of racing than Kevin had.  This is such an important race for us, rich in the history of Australian Motorsports.  To be only 19, he was just incredible.”

“I was honored to be asked to drive for the Graham’s and Richard Petty Driving Experience.  Steven won this race in 2005, and I am so happy to be able to bring the car owner championship back to them.  The car was perfect each time we went out, and it let me drive wherever I needed to pass cars.  It was an awesome event,” said Kevin.

Australian press called him “fast”, “patient”, and “perfect”.  With the song “Born in the USA” blasting in the background, Swindell was crowned the 2009 Australian Speedcar Champion!

Swindell dominates Chili Bowl

Sammy Swindell once again proved to be to tough to beat in the Chili Bowl. The week started out on Tuesday for Sammy where he raced from the pole and was never challenged for the lead and went on to win the first ever Chili Bowl race of Champions. Sammy's qualifying night was on Wednesday which started with a heat race win from the sixth position. Once again in his qualifying race Sammy started in the sixth position and went on to win that race as well. In the A-Main Sammy started on the front row and never looked back as he held a commanding lead for the whole race and crossed the checkerd flag first. Not only was Sammy never passed no compeditor even came close to setting up a pass in the four times he took to the track on Tuesday and Wednesday. When the A-Main on Saturday started Sammy was in the third position until lap 10 when a slight push by Tracy Hines allowed Sammy to slip by and take the second spot but only for a short time when Hines would get the position back on the next lap making him the first car to pass Sammy. After another slip up Levi Jones was able to get by but what the other racers did not know was that the race was playing right into the hads of the master then on lap 30 Sammy made a adjustment to his Super Shox to free up the car a bit and he then within two laps he was in the lead and checking out. Thru the remaining laps Sammy was able to open up a sizable lead on every restart and sliced thru the lap traffic with ease. Sammy used his Super Shox to give him the winning edge and put himself in the zone and when Sammy gets there forget about nobody will come close.

Other Super Shox racer Kevin Swindell was in position to lead the A-Main on Tuesday night when unfrotunate contact with another car sent him into the wall. Kevin would then make a nice run from the D-main into the B-Main on Saturday where he got the car over the heavy cushion and sustained enough damage to end his night. Tim Siner, Austin Brown and Kellen Conover all had good runs in their qualifying nights and features on Saturday as well.

Swindell, Schuerenburg, Balog and Nigg win with Super Shox

Sammy Swindell made a rare visit to Placerville Saturday night driving the Tom Rolfe Trucking #10, it has been 16-years since Sammy last raced at Placerville Speedway and he was sure to make it a memorable one. Swindell started deep in the field Saturday, lining up in the 11th position for the 25-lap feature event. With one lap complete he drove his way into the top 10 and three laps later made his way to sixth at one point passing two cars at the same time. Once in the fourth position, he remained there until lap 22 when he raced into third and then second one lap later. With 24-laps complete, Swindell drove into the fourth corner and slid below Colby Wiesz to pass for the lead just as a red flag came out. The restart set the stage for a classic scenario with the best of the west attempting to hold off one of the best in the world for the win on his hometown track. With the fans on their feet for the two lap sprint to the finish. The green flag flew, Wiesz moved to the bottom where Swindell had been running well and Swindell shot to the top of turns one and two and powered his way around Wiesz for the lead and his first win on the action packed bullring. Sammy has been racing with Super Shox for 11 years now and carries a set with him where ever he goes. To Sammy the shox are as important as a driving suit and helmet!

Hunter Schuerenburg driving the Jeff Walker #11 sprinter won the MSCS feature at Twin Cities Raceway Saturday night in thrilling fashion. Hunter took the lead on the 12th lap from Hud Cone then on the 25th lap Brady Short made a strong run off of turn four to pull up next to Hunter but Hunter was able to keep the lead as the two crossed the line side by side for the win. Sunday night the team won at Kokomo making it two in a row at Kokomo and three wins in three races for the Walker team. At the beginning of the year Walker needed a driver and saw what he was looking for in Schuerenburg since then the two have 9 wins this season including a Indiana sprint week win at Haubstadt. Hunter immediately felt comfortable in the #11 car with Super Shox and has been able to run in places where no other car dare to go!

Billy Balog extended his IRA points lead with a win at Rice Lake Wisconsin in front of a packed grandstand. At the drop of the green flag Scott Winters shot into the lead as Balog and Biertzer raced hard for the second spot until lap 5 when Balog cleared Biertzer. After a lap 9 yellow flag Balog and Bierzer shot around Winters on the restart and Balog came out of turn two in the lead and never looked back as he sliced and diced his way thru lap traffic to earn his second IRA win of the season. At the end of the 2007 season at Plymouth Billy tried out a set of Super Shox and immediately felt the difference and has been fast all year with two wins on the season and leading the IRA points.

In micro sprint action by the time Adam Nigg raced into the second spot the leader had opened up a half lap lead. Within four laps Nigg was in position to take the lead and did just that then went unchallenged to take the win on his first night with Super Shox. After the race Adam commented how he made a two click adjustment to the left rear and could feel the difference. He was most impressed how the car felt even though the Super Shox have the same valving numbers as his old shocks the car feels so much smoother and drivable.

In TechSquad MSA 360 Sprints Al Schlafer lead all 25 laps at the Antigo 1/2 mile in Wisconsin to take the win using his double adjustable Super Shox. Other Super Shox racers Kurt Davis and Danny Schlafer finish in 4th and 5th place.

Kertcher and Davis take sprint car wins in Wisconsin

Mike Kertcher took to the track in his Jeff Robinson prepared Captain Jim's 410 wing sprint car with the IRA Sprints at Wilmot speedway Friday night in front of a pack grandstand on hand for the Kenosha County fair night. Winning his heat race in dominating fashion set him up in the redraw for the A-main. Starting the A-main on the front row Mike drove the 80K car low thru turn 1 to slide up in front of leader Scott Biertzer only to have Biertzer make the pass back then Kertcher put another slide job on Scott in turn three and that one stuck as Biertzer was unable to turn down and drive back by. Mike held on to a commanding lead for the remainder of the event as the packed grandstand stood on their feet to see all of the action. In victory lane Kertcher credited the win to his team stating that Jeff Robinson is the best chassis guy in the area and keeps the car dialed in with Super Shox and Joe Roe who keeps the strong Kistler engine tuned to perfection as the team is really hitting its stride while only running a limited schedule.

On Saturday the IRA moved to Charter Raceway Park in Beaver Dam where Kertcher went unchallenged in his heat race to win and again make it into the IRA redraw for the A-Main this time starting inside of row four Mike waited patiently thru the first couple of starts then began his charge to the front keeping pace with Brooke Tatnell. Soon the Tatnell car was leading and Kertcher was running strong in second. The two darted and weaved thru lap traffic and it looked like Mike had a run on Brooke several times but was unable to make the pass in traffic. Kertcher tried to make a move on Tatnell on the restart near the end of the race but Brooke was too strong on the cushion so Mike followed Tatnell across the finish line in second place finishing off a strong weekend in the Captain Jim's sprinter. In post race interviews Mike again thanked his team for the car and how well it handled the tall cushion and slick track conditions.

Kurt Davis returned to 360 action at the Plymouth dirt track on Saturday night to lead all 25 laps picking up his second win of the season. Lance Fasbender who was on a three race winning streak chassed Davis the entire way but was unable to get by Kurt as his Super Shox keep the 6K car hooked up on the Plymouth dirt track bull ring.

Hunter Schuerenburg captured his fifth win of the season at Kokomo speedway Sunday night in the Jeff Walker machine. After starting 4th Hunter worked his way up to second on lap 6 behind leader Dave Darland while working the low side of the track then on lap 10 he diamond off of turn four to take the lead. Once in the lead he checked out and built up a half lap lead at the checkerd flag.

Schuerenberg's First USAC Sprint Car Win

Hunter Schuerenberg capped off a very competitive Indiana Sprint Week with at Tri-State Speedway in his Jeff  Walker prepared sprinter. Hunter started the night off with a strong qualifying lap to put him 6th quick in a very tightly bunched field. Making a pass off of turn four on the last lap of his heat earned the 11 Walker racing machine the pole position for the A-Main. Damion Gardner got the jump from the outside of row one to lead the first couple of laps then Hunter made his move in turn four to take the lead only to have the Demon slide back by in turn two, Hunter countered the move by turning down off the cushion to let the 71 car slide by as the two raced into turn three Hunter began to distance himself from the field. With a caution about every 5 laps Hunter was able to pull away from the USAC hot shoes to open up a straightaway lead in four laps. As the track began to blow up dust Hunter blazed thru the lap traffic powering off the corners lap after lap to claim his first USAC Sprint car win in front of huge crowd and a large group of family and friends who came to see him race on what is sure to be memorable moment as USAC's best were no match for Hunter this night. Congratulations to Hunter and the Jeff  Walker team from all of us here at Super Shox.

Kristans First IRA Win

Brian Kristan has won many sprint car races with and with out wings in 360's and 410's but this win is extra special since it was his first with the IRA and earlier in the day he learned that in 9 months he will be a father. BK started the night out winning his heat easily to transfer into the A-Main. Starting on the pole BK fell in line behind Donny Goeden as the field ran hard against the cushion then he made his move and drove to the bottom of three and four to take the lead. Once in the lead BK distanced himself from the rest of the field leading by as much as a full straightaway at times. Brian was able to run thru lap traffic masterfully and maintain his lead on several restarts that gave Goeden and Balog a chance to make a pass but the caution laps were the only laps that anyone was able to stay close to BK on this night. After the checkered flag waved Brian gave the fans a bonus by doing several doughnuts in front of the grandstand before going to victory lane. Great job and congratulations Brian!

Bill Waller swept up at Devils Bowl winning his heat race and feature on a very dry slick track where his Super Shox kept the tires hooked up. Bill started on the outside of the front row and opened up a comfortable lead and kept his distance from the field. On every restart Bill was able to get good traction and stay out in front to take the checkered flag. Congratulations Bill!
