About Super Shox

Our Mission:

Design and build high quality racing shocks that deliver superior performance with extream durability at a reasonable price.

Our Philosophy:

A shock that has superior performance, a longer life span and is completely rebuildable has more value than a low quality cheap throw away shock.  The initial cost may be slightly higher, but when you factor in performance, longevity, durability and return on investment... SUPER SHOX is the best performing shock for sprint cars, midgets, and late models today!

Our Product:

These are not mass produced imported shocks repackaged to be sold as racing shocks but they are specifically engineered for sprint car and midget racing. All of our parts are machined in house from billet materials to exacting tolerances that ensure a precise and long lasting product. We hand assemble and dyno test each shock to meet our strict specifications so that all of our customers receive the highest quality shock on the market today. Our repair department gets your broken shock back together and working perfectly for typically 20-50% of the cost of a new shock and back to you before your next race! Because of our attention to detail and commitment to build the highest quality shock we are the only shock company to back up our product with a lifetime valving quaranty. What this means is if you ever think that a shock is not performing as it should be then send it in and we will check it and make sure that it is.

Our History:

Years ago I discovered that a major debate was taking place in American oval track racing concerning the superiority of one shock absorber design; mono-tube, over another design, twin-tube. I didn't care which one was best, I just wanted to cut through all the hype and get to the facts.

I tested both and discovered the same truth as every single race team at the top levels of motorsports. Mono-tube gas assist shocks are superior in every application. Mono-tubes had their down side (high rod pressure and valving limitations), but the advantages always seem to outweigh the disadvantages.

I began to modify the mono-tube shocks we were using on a friends midget. We wanted a lighter shock, less rod pressure, less seal drag, a greater range of valving, and faster heat dissipation. We handled all of the problems one at a time, modifying the product we were using. A selection of shock modification parts were designed and built on a one-off basis. Believe me, this stuff wasn't available at any speed shop anywhere. We were learning.

Eventually we built our own shock from our own design and specifications that exceeded the performance of any shock we'd ever seen.

The Result:

SUPER SHOX - and now we would like to share our product with you.
